SCIENCE NIGHT IS BACK!! Sponsored by the Carder School PTA On January 26, 2012 Dr. Christine Bezotte will once again bring Family Science Night to Carder School.   This event has been a big event at Carder in the past and is intended to captivate the minds of the young and old with many interactive and hands-on demonstrations that have been designed by Dr. Bezotte and her students at Elmira College.  Dr. Bezotte earned her Ph. D. in 1991 from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, in an interdisciplinary  Chemistry and Biology program. At Elmira College she teaches Cell and Molecular Biology, Microbiology, General Biology and The Biology of Cancer. This event will require many volunteers.  If you are interested in assiting with the evening please contact Candice Hill at hillcd@stny.rr.com.  More details regarding this event will come home with your students in mid January.

The October Box Tops collection has been shipped.The winner was Mrs. Tolbert’s class with 513 box tops, Ms. Christman’s class was second with 488, and Mrs. Suma’s class was third with 369.  A total of 5358 Box Tops were collected in October !  Thank you to everyone who particpated this month.  Your Box Top's Chair,  Kim Newton
